Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
